VOICE ATTUNEMENT not just for THERAPISTS

Naaz Hosseini, M.A., L.P.

As therapists, we use voice -- ours and our clients -- as part of the th

erapeutic process whether we are aware of it or not. When we are not aware of our own voice, we can undermine our intention. When we are not aware of our clients' voices, we may miss important cues. This training will attune you to ways in which voice reveals and informs, and will include attunement exercises and practicum.

$60 (5 CEUs)

Naaz Hosseini (voice, violin, movement)

Peter Blum (singing bowls, gong, flutes, percussion, voice)

Thomas Workman (didgeridoo, flutes, percussion)

Join three well-known and respected sound-healers for a unique meditative event. Participants are invited to experience a “horizontal concert”, lying on yoga mats or blankets in the center of the room, surrounded on all sides by sound-generating stations set up along the perimeter: gongs, flutes, violin, didjeridoo, and an amazing collection of over 35 Himalayan singing bowls. The intention is to create a unique vibration field, allowing those present to receive healing, visions, and guidance from within and without.

Free Your Voice: Reclaiming Your Wild, Brilliant Self

Naaz Hosseini

Inhabit your voice. Let it speak for you, resound for you. This playful, creative, interactive workshop will teach you to use the instrument that is your body. By properly aligning, moving and breathing, you will experience the range and resonance of your true voice. In this workshop, we will gently warm up and bring awareness to body and breath, then experiment with dynamics of voice such as volume, pitch and texture. Playful exercises will allow you to explore creatively and discover, know, and own your voice with greater ease and freedom. Be seen heard and understood. Connect to your vocal power, your body, and your breath. Get access to all of who you are. "If your self is a house with many rooms, then finding your true voice allows you to access all of them.”Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
